Balky is a semi-abstract pattern font, designed in 2021 for the '36 Days of Type' challenge on Instagram. It‘s base letters fit in the square shape of an Instagram post and are made up of a very simple set of forms.
Mostly monospaced, a few glyphs are at half width. Balky is meant to be set with a leading equal to it‘s font size, allowing the top and bottom extremums to align horizontally.
